Hien has gained high reputation due to the 60203 ㎡ project of Qinghai Expressway Station. Thanks to that, many stations of Qinghai Communications and Construction Group have selected Hien accordingly.
Qinghai, one of the important provinces on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, is a symbol of severe cold, high altitude and low pressure. Hien successfully served 22 Sinopec gas stations in Qinghai Province in 2018, and from 2019 to 2020, Hien served more than 40 gas stations in Qinghai one after another, which has been operating stably and efficiently, which is well known in the industry.
In 2021, Hien air source heat pump heating units were selected for the heating upgrade project of Haidong Branch and Huangyuan Branch of Qinghai Expressway Management and Operation Centre. The total heating area is 60,203 square metres. At the end of a heating season, the project units were stable and efficient. This year, Haidong Road Administration, Huangyuan Road Administration and Huangyuan Service Zone, which also belong to Qinghai Communication and Construction Group, have selected Hien's air source heat pump heating units after learning the operation effect of Hien heat pump at Qinghai Expressway Station.

Project Overview
It is understood that these high-speed stations were originally heated by LNG boilers. After on-site investigation, Hien professionals in Qinghai found problems and faults in the heating system of these high-speed stations. First, the original heating branch pipes were all DN15, which could not meet the heating demand at all; second, the original pipe network of the site has been rusted and corroded seriously, could not be used normally; third, the transformer capacity of the station is insufficient. Based on these conditions and taking into account the natural environmental factors such as severe cold and high altitude, the Hien team changed its original radiator branch pipe to DN20; replaced all the native corrosion pipe network; increased the capacity of the transformer at the site; and equipped the heating equipment provided on site with water tanks, pumps, power distribution and other systems.
Project Design
The system adopts the heating form of "circulating heating system", that is "main engine+terminal". Its advantage lies in the automatic regulation and control of the operation mode, in which the heating system used in winter has advantages such as good thermal stability and heat storage function; Simple operation, convenient use, and safe and reliable; Economical and practical, lower maintenance cost, longer service life, etc. The outdoor water supply and drainage of the heat pumps are equipped with antifreeze systems, and the heat pump equipments equipped with a reliable defrosting device for control. Each equipment shall be installed with shockproof pads made of rubber materials to reduce noise. This can also save running costs.
Calculation of heating load: according to the severe cold and high altitude geographical environment and, local climate conditions, the heating load in winter is calculated as 80W/㎡.
And so far, the Hien air source heat pump heating units have been running stably without any failure since the installation.
Application Effect
The Hien air source heat pump heating units in this project are used in the section with an altitude of 3660 square meters at Qinghai Expressway Station. The average temperature during the heating period is - 18 °, and the coldest temperature is - 28 °. The one-year heating period is 8 months. The room temperature is about 21 °, and the heating period cost is 2.8 yuan/m2 per month, which is 80% more energy-saving than the original LNG boiler. It can be seen from the pre-calculated figures that the user can recover the cost after only 3 heating periods.
